Kueh Pie Tee

I invited my side of family to come to my house for dinner. We decided to cook chicken porridge, asparagus wrapped with bacon and kueh pie tee. However, I didn’t manage to take a picture of my final product Kueh Pie Tee. What a waste. The recipe I used is from http://www.herworld.com/solutions/solutions/recipe-quick-and-easy-seafood-kueh-pie-tee. Hakka Yong Tau Foo

I used to buy raw yong tau foo in the wet market and cooked them with bean paste sauce at home. Today I will try Hakka yong tau foo and make everything from scratch. My mother in law helped me to fry all the ingredients as I am not good at frying.

Stiry-fry Garlic Flowers with fishcake

Buah long long is a tropical fruit which is very sour. Uncle Hong who is very good in planting gave us a buah long long plant. He usually harvests a very large number of fruits and my mother-in-law always make pickles from them. A very healthy and traditional fruit snack.

Stewed Chinese Mustard Green with Roasted Pork in Assam Sauce

This is one of my family’s favourite dish.  This is also a communal dish where I can cook a large pot to serve a whole family. The sourish sweet sauce with soft tendered mustard green is served best with rice. I use the pressure cooker to speed up the cooking of the Chinese Mustard Green. It takes only 15 minutes instead of the normal 45 mins or more.
