Bought the red rice wine and red lees from Ye Traditions. Family love it and I cook only during circuit breaker and Phase 2 heightened alert. One small bottle of red lees can only cook twice for 3 persons while the bottle of wine is more than enough for a few meals. Recipe at next page.

Cheese baked tomato based pasta
Today is our 3rd week of circuit breaker. Most of us are staying at home to work, cook and idle away. I manage to buy spaghetti which is sold out in many supermarkets. It is sold out in Fairprice Xtra and Cold Storage in nex. Alas, I find it in NTUC at Downtown East. Also I buy a good packet of tomato sauce for pasta.

Oven-baked Curry Chicken with truffle mashed potato
I mail to Jacqueline a box of Singapore Curry. She baked the chicken in the curry instead of cooking over the stove. I find that’s an interesting way of cooking. I try this method of baking curry chicken and turns out to be an ultimate favourite dish for my family. I use the Prima Taste Singapore Curry chicken premix and it’s so easy to cook it.

Korean Army Stew Budae Jjigae

However, it cost about $20++ per person to enjoy in restaurant. Today, I will cook this dish for my family of 4 to indulge in this savoury dish.

Chicken Normandy 2 (Poulet a la Normande)
I try this recipe again for the 2nd time. This time I braise the chicken instead of oven baked it. It tastes really good. I use olive oil instead of butter as butter can easily brown the ingredients.
The recipe is almost the same as the oven-baked dish. Continue reading
Chicken Normandy (Poulet à la Normande)
I am looking for a recipe that uses brandy where I have one left over from my house event. I chance upon this recipe which I think my family will love it.I took quite a while to prepare it though it is said to be a simple disk. This French recipe braised or oven-baked the chicken with apples, apple cider and brandy to bring out the fruity sweetness. This time I choose to oven-bake the chicken.
