I bought a box of king prawns and was thinking what to cook with. Son was coming back this weekend and he wanted some home cooked food. I chanced upon grilled butterfly prawns on Youtube and a website for aglio olio which used fish sauce. https://www.cookinglight.com/cooking-101/spaghetti-aglio-olio-fish-sauce-recipe. The result was astounding great and both husband and son love it.
My son and his friends bought much liquor for his 18th birthday celebration. They just tried out some liquor and have many leftover open bottles. So I used the remaining vodka to cook my pasta for his lunch. I told him we can cook again for his friends to try out. I follow Rachael Ray’s recipe with some grated Parmesan cheese added to the sauce.

I want to try the classic carbonara pasta and find Jamie Oliver’s recipe. It looks pretty simple but the taste is different from what I had in the Singapore restaurants. I have a bottle of Russian vodka which my hubby bought in Changi Airport for my vanilla pods. It has been sitting in the store for years. Surf the net to look for any recipe that can cook with vodka and found this recipe Penne alla Vodka. Surprisingly this dish becomes my son’s favourite meal which I prepared during his O level exams. 
I have some leftovers plain spaghetti and decide to make some creamy mushroom sauce for lunch for my family of 5.
