Pork and Mushroom Pie

One of my son’s favourite food is mushroom. Most mushroom pie recipes ask for beef. Since I don’t eat beef, I replace it with pork. This delectable warm and creamy dish is best served with some roti prata for my family’s lunch.

Pork and Beer Cobblers

This another hearty one dish meal prepared for my family lunch. I stewed the pork and vegetables with beer one day ahead. Then I baked it with the cobblers the next day. A wonderful and fulfilling dish for serving a crowd. Inspired by Caroline Bretherton’s Beef and Ale Cobblers.

Whoopie Pies

This dessert was specially requested by my son to bake. It is a classic American dessert which has another name called the Big Fat Oreo.

Spinach & Feta Filo Pie

Filo sheets are paper-thin sheets of unleavened flour dough used in the Middle East. This delicious vegetarian pie is made with spinach, feta cheese, onions, dried apricots and pine nuts. It’s a type of Mediterranean or Greek cuisine.
